DOS

So we've been preparing for birthday numero dos / zwei / two for several weeks now. It FINALLY came this past weekend.

I heard from the Colinparazzi that I wasn't quick enough on the posting, so here ye's go.

First up, Colin gets schooled from Grandma about the operation of this toy:
Don't mess with that whole Irish dander thing, clearly. Anderson on Ferrigan - Irish through and through.
Looks like the Andersons got the upper hand this go-round. No doubt with a handbag full 'o Ferrigan resentment.
Below - the early setup of the bouncy castle:
And finally, a fully inflated castle:
Mary decides to see if she got Colin's birthday moneys' worth:

Mommy, after having had enough of jumping:

The best picture of the day - Cousins:
An action shot of Michael enjoying the castle:
Cousin Megan and the birthday boy:
Now for some shots of confusion. The kid didn't understand the whole 'fire + cake' combination. He spent the entire time looking around and wondering why everyone was singing to him through 'Happy Birthday'. To his credit - he did blow out the candles on the first try:
Notice Ruby enjoying Cotton Candy - we rented a Cotton Candy machine along with the bouncy castle.
True to form, he spent more time playing with the carnival train set that was on his cake - to hold the candles - than he did playing with any other toy he received. I think this is natural.
In the picture above, he's following Grandma's instructions from Friday on that particular toy - clearly.
Last picture is Megan from the Sunday after. There were more pictures snapped - but that was all I had from my camera. More to come, soon. 'til then, enjoy these videos:
First up, this is called 'Let's give Kasi the video camera':

Sad thing is - if that would have been a picture of Colin and Michael, it would have been awesome. Either way - way to capture the moment, Kasi!
Next, this:

So there you have it - the first round of Colin's 2nd birthday.
The rest of the day was not worth recording, clearly -as it was incredibly Irish.
More pictures to come, just as soon as Amy and Megan send 'em.
Thanks for stopping by - stay classy!

Overdueforapostblogging

Well, it's been a while since the last post - apologies - we've been doing a whole lot of nothing notable - beyond getting ready for Jr's 2nd birthday. So not a lot of recent snaps, sadly.

The Canes lost the Eastern Conference Final in four straight, so the playoff beard has been shaved off . . .beyond that - not a lot of excitement. Buckeyes don't kick off for several months, so we're just left with the Reds. Granted, the Redlegs have been doing well as of late - but we've been Redlegs fans long enough to know it won't last .... sadly.

Anyway, on with the latest record of this blog's namesake's historical record of growth. Here are some shots of Jr. enjoying playing in the sink tonight:
I said "peekaboo" before the shot above.
He got so soakin' wet between the shot above and the shot below that the shirt just had to go.
The kid is all about washing his hands - he really enjoys a dish sink full of suds.
Notice above that the shirt is soaked through.

Below, Mary Ann is sporting her favorite Wright State University duds AND telling Kelson to spray the hose into the 'table 'o play'.
Mary trying to reign in the whole hose / sandbox thingy:
Colin and Kelson at the play table / sandbox thingy:
Clearly the kid has kin in WVa - he doesn't like wearing shoes or shirts:
These were shots one evening when I was trying to capture some action shots while the kid was wearing his Slayer kicks:
Below - more hillbilly shirtlessness - whilst showing off his knowledge of the Disney movie, "Cars".
Shirtlessness continued:
Below - reveling in the fact that he has kin in WestbygodVirginia:
More shots sportin' the Slaytanic clothes:
Bothered and AWESOME: Just plain bothered:
Seriously, he's wearing a Slayer T-shirt and acting like it means nothing. Whatakid, no?
OK, so those are the latest. We've honestly been doing a whole lot of nothing beyond trying to get the house ready for next weekend's 2nd birthday confab. It's totally going to be huge.
Think Woodstock but with more dirty hippies.
Like that, but better.
Srsly.

The Canes Bathroom

We finally finished the 'Canes bathroom at the house, after fires, seasons with playoffs missed and even worse. Here's the final product:
Below is the door shut:
A corner, with the door shut:
More behind the door:
The view from the hallway:
A bit of the border:
Again:
And here is the most pathetic playoff beard, EVAR:

That's what she gets for marrying a non-hirsute Irishman.

For shame!!!!!!

One for the Aunties

Christ, it's been a while, no?

Well, we've been preparin' for the boy's 2nd b-day blowout, so massive apologies. Not much to report lately, cept a CANES twice won seven game series. Other than that we've been gettin' the house ready for the onslougt of our families for the boy's second birthday. Below are the pictures I chose from for Mother's Day. The theme was pictures of Colin wearin' Momma's glasses and Momma wearin' Colin's Spiderman sunglasses:
That above was a picture of pure love.
Above was the picture I went with - it's at the top of the steps now.
Needless to say, everyone enjoyed swappin' specs.
Mary, tryin' to look all kewl and whatnot.
And the money shot. Everyone loves DER Colin, right?
JA!!!!!

We understand Der Aunties Love colinferrigan.blogspot.com - well, we here at the management at colinferrigan.blogspot.com love DER AUNTIES - so it's like a mutual love society. Y'all produce superior children - let's hope the proprietors of colinferrigan.blogspot.com can do the same some day.
