DOS

So we've been preparing for birthday numero dos / zwei / two for several weeks now. It FINALLY came this past weekend.

I heard from the Colinparazzi that I wasn't quick enough on the posting, so here ye's go.

First up, Colin gets schooled from Grandma about the operation of this toy:
Don't mess with that whole Irish dander thing, clearly. Anderson on Ferrigan - Irish through and through.
Looks like the Andersons got the upper hand this go-round. No doubt with a handbag full 'o Ferrigan resentment.
Below - the early setup of the bouncy castle:
And finally, a fully inflated castle:
Mary decides to see if she got Colin's birthday moneys' worth:

Mommy, after having had enough of jumping:

The best picture of the day - Cousins:
An action shot of Michael enjoying the castle:
Cousin Megan and the birthday boy:
Now for some shots of confusion. The kid didn't understand the whole 'fire + cake' combination. He spent the entire time looking around and wondering why everyone was singing to him through 'Happy Birthday'. To his credit - he did blow out the candles on the first try:
Notice Ruby enjoying Cotton Candy - we rented a Cotton Candy machine along with the bouncy castle.
True to form, he spent more time playing with the carnival train set that was on his cake - to hold the candles - than he did playing with any other toy he received. I think this is natural.
In the picture above, he's following Grandma's instructions from Friday on that particular toy - clearly.
Last picture is Megan from the Sunday after. There were more pictures snapped - but that was all I had from my camera. More to come, soon. 'til then, enjoy these videos:
First up, this is called 'Let's give Kasi the video camera':

Sad thing is - if that would have been a picture of Colin and Michael, it would have been awesome. Either way - way to capture the moment, Kasi!
Next, this:

So there you have it - the first round of Colin's 2nd birthday.
The rest of the day was not worth recording, clearly -as it was incredibly Irish.
More pictures to come, just as soon as Amy and Megan send 'em.
Thanks for stopping by - stay classy!
